Self-Care for Human Resource Professionals:
Reducing Stress & Burnout
presented by Luz Chacón, MPH
This free workshop will address the stressors that can contribute to burnout and compassion fatigue for those who work in human resources and other fields. You’ve likely chosen this work because you’re passionate, mission-driven, and want to make a difference in the lives of others. Yet, your own dedication and/or the demands of the work can make it challenging to prioritize self-care.
The success of any organization depends on the well-being of the staff. Individual needs don’t have to be at odds with the mission of the organization. This workshop will offer recommendations for avoiding burnout and compassion fatigue from both an individual and organizational perspective.
Objectives:
By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
- Have a greater understanding of how stress and burnout impact the workforce.
- Learn 5 ways that organizations can support the well-being of employees.
- Practice 2-3 simple stress reduction modalities that can easily be incorporated into your workday.
- Create a self-care plan.
- Learn about additional steps you and/or your organization can take to prioritize self-care.
