If there was a particular inflection point in time where shifts in how organizations operate their businesses changed, it would be 2022. As seen through various federal and state-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), the way organizations are running their business is evolving. A key component of the developing DEI narrative is pay equity, which has taken on a role of its own.
This year alone we’ve seen a host of new pay equity laws come into play. From pay transparency requirements in job listings, to mean and median pay data reporting requirements. And this new legislation will be critical for advancing pay equity in the working world and finally closing the long standing pay gap.
Join Trusaic’s Chief Legal Office, Joanna Kim-Brunetti as she covers the current state of pay equity. From salary range disclosures requirements in job descriptions, to California’s SB 1162, which would require public disclosure of pay data reporting, Joanna will cover the new laws driving pay equity as a more enforceable legal requirement across the nation. In addition, Joanna will identify best practices for ensuring compliance with new legislation and how to use these new requirements as an opportunity to position your organization as a leader in pay equity.
Session Learning Objectives:
- Why laws like California’s SB 973 and SB 1162 are moving the needle on pay equity
- What pay data reporting will look like in the future and why it’s changing
- Best practices for maximizing compliance with pay equity legislation
