Empowering Women in the Workforce

Diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace — also known as DEI in the workplace — relates to the actions taken to establish awareness and transform mindsets, behaviors, and practices to create and sustain a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment. In celebration of National Women's History Month, this program will focus on creating an empowering space for women in the workforce.
Learning Objectives include:
- How to create an effective program that fosters empowerment for women
- How to expand beyond the scope of traditional DEI
- Identify imposter syndrome and how to overcome it
Dr. Aasiyah N. Ghazi, CHt, MHRM, HRBP, RBLP-T
Dr. Aasiyah Ghazi, is an associate faculty at the University of Arizona Global Campus, teaching leadership courses in the Bachelors’ of Art in Business Leadership program with the Forbes School of Business and Technology. In addition to teaching, Dr. Ghazi works at Pepperdine University as a Graduate Assistant for the Excellence and Innovation Program (EIP), as the manager for the Center for Global Partnerships and Learning (C4GPL) and as a trainer for the Resilience Building Leadership Program certificate offered through the Center and the Graduate School of Education and Psychology. Dr. Ghazi is a professional coach and trainer, facilitating various leadership training workshops, courses and seminars with individuals and corporations. She is the host of her podcast called Amplify Your Potential with Dr. Aasiyah Ghazi, which can be found on all listening platforms (Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, iHeart Radio, etc.). Additionally, Dr. Ghazi has also published her first leadership journal on Amazon called The Creative Leader Journal.
Jacqueline Roth, President of Employee Benefits
Jacqueline Roth oversees IMA’s Employee Benefits division. She works closely with executive leadership and the benefits service teams to ensure service consistency and develop insurance solutions for emerging industry challenges. With close to a decade of experience as an Employee Benefits Broker with Bolton IMA, Jacqueline leads with a client-first focus in evolving IMA’s Employee Benefits service strategy and approach. Jacqueline is active within the insurance industry and currently serves on the CIAB Employee Benefits Council and is involved with the Society of Human Resources Management. Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Azusa Pacific University
