Gone are the days of purely administrative HR roles; at least for those who wish to be true HR leaders. CEO’s want and need HR practitioners who are strong business leaders. They want HR leaders who think like they do, about the whole business. The key to move from a HR leader to a Business leader is to understand the business. This requires stepping out of HR and understanding all functions of a business and how they work together to move the business forward.
