Race continues to be at the forefront of the American consciousness. From Hollywood to Silicon Valley to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' 'White Privilege II" & Beyoncé’s Super Bowl halftime performance, Americans are engaging in dialogue about racial disparities and the changing face of America. Race is also a focus of the 2016 presidential election with candidates creating multiple ads attempting to make the case that they are the best for improving America's race relations. In just a little over 25 years, Whites are already on track to lose their majority status. In fact, five states or equivalents are already majority-minority with 85% of the total U.S. population growth being multicultural. Moreover, if you are five years old or younger and White, you are already in the minority. Are we making progress or moving backwards on race relations? What do we need to do to mend the divide? These are the questions we will explore.
