As we gear up to set our New Year's resolutions, it's crucial that one of those goals centers around self-care.
This workshop will highlight the significance and advantages of integrating self-care into your daily routine. Attendees will recognize the potential risks associated with overlooking self-care and explore fresh approaches to promote wellness through self-care methods.
Key Objectives:
- Participants will gain awareness of the necessity of self-care.
- HR professionals will benefit from learning tools to effectively strengthen boundaries and develop work and personal life harmony
- Balance may be difficult to attain, however, harmony may be a more sustainable goal.
- Define what harmony looks like in your life.
- HR professionals will learn to better take care of themselves as they take care of others
- Participants will identify the life events/experiences contributing to burnout.
- HR professionals will be able to identify warning signs of burnout in staff to provide support for staff and resources to promote mental wellness.
- HR professionals will also learn when and how to refer to EAP and other support services.
- Participants will make a self-care plan to promote overall wellness and improve their individual quality of life as well as the teams they support.
- HR professionals will answer the following questions:
- How does the culture of the organization support the overall wellness of the staff?
- How can the HR professional support teams in balancing demanding work, opportunities for growth, development, and training?

Chantelle L. Bittings
Chantelle Bittings, LCPC is a graduate of the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana with a Bachelor's degree in psychology. She obtained her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2001 and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Illinois. She is also a National Certified Counselor. In her practice, she provides individual and family therapy and empowers others to make effective changes in their lives. She is the author of the book I am enough: 14 days of self-worth, strength, & encouragement.
