Grant Boyken
Volunteer Ambassador, Shatterproof
Grant Boyken is a volunteer ambassador for Shatterproof, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to reversing the addiction crisis in the United States. Previously, Grant served as Shatterproof Senior Director of State Engagement and worked with state and local governments, substance use disorder (SUD) treatment providers and other stakeholders in California to advance Shatterproof initiatives, including www.TreatmentAtlas.org, a free SUD treatment locator.
Grant currently works in media relations for the State of California where he has more than two decades of experience with employee health and retirement benefits. He has served as a Deputy State Treasurer and as the Public Affairs Executive Officer for a large department of the State of California. He has an MA in sociology from UC Davis and a B.S. in psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Grant is in recovery from a substance use disorder.
