WILLIAM WRIGHT
Partner Fisher PhillipsMr. Wright received his BA from Villanova University in 1987 and a law degree from Western Michigan Law School. In his career, he has worked as an Associate at McNees and as a Partner at Wolf Block. Currently, Wright is a partner in the Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. offices of Fisher and Phillips, and is the chair of the firm's International Employment Practice Group. He counsels employers on various global employment, compensation and benefit issues related to employees abroad, as well as foreign nationals working in the U.S. and the employment of U.S. permanent residents and citizens abroad.

Description
This program is designed for U.S. Based HR Professionals with strong understanding of U.S. Data Privacy rules (HIPAA, for example) and who has general responsibility for management of issues related to the global workforce. The program will provide an overview of the significant and important concepts related to compliance with Data Privacy rules in many jurisdictions, such as countries in the EU as well as Mexico and Canada. The program will discuss how to manage the significant requirements imposed abroad against the broad and frequently varied rules here in the U.S. A primary objective in this program will be to highlight the HR related issues associated with employee privacy against the employer's interests, as well as the protection of company trade secrets and confidential information.
