Greg Labate
He specializes in labor and employment law, and represents employers in a wide range of industries. He provides general labor advice to employers, and has extensive experience in defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, defamation, invasion of privacy, workplace violence, wage claims, trade secrets, and other related matters.
Mr. Labate also specializes in defending employers in wage and hour class actions, with an emphasis on class actions in the mortgage, restaurant, and manufacturing industries. He is a trial attorney who has had great success defending his clients in court at trial. He regularly drafts employee handbooks, employment agreements, severance agreements and arbitration agreements for his clients.
Mr. Labate’s clients include Hyundai, Marriott, Lawry’s, Zodiac Aerospace, loanDepot, TM Wireless, Harbor Freight, Mother’s Market, Hillstone Restaurants, Banc of California, and many more.
Mr. Labate grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College, and received his Juris Doctorate from UCLA School of Law. He is a member of the Labor Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer, and has given the keynote address at PIHRA events many times. He is an avid scuba diver and a gourmet chef.
