Alicia Maciel, founder and CEO of BeingWell.life,
supports leaders, primarily in healthcare and education organizations,
to improve results through more engaged and productive teams. Her
approach begins by focusing on optimizing the leaders' resilience and
skills of emotional intelligence to model the way toward a more
inclusive climate of connection and wellbeing for the rest of their
teams.
Alicia's diverse experience spans over 25 years working in and with
nonprofit and for-profit organizations. She received a bachelor degree
in finance and accounting from University of California, Berkeley, and
holds a master of business administration from Harvard Business School.
Prior to launching BeingWell.life Alicia was Executive Director of The
Prentice School. She served as faculty at California State University,
Fullerton, teaching entrepreneurial leadership courses. Alicia began
her career at The Chevron Corporation, then The Walt Disney Company and
has consulted for organizations such as Kraft Foods and UCI Medical
Center, CHOC Children’s, and Court Appointed Special Advocates of Orange
County.
Alicia is bilingual / bicultural (from Mexico), an ICF-Certified Coach, a
Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher in-training, and a Certified
Emotional Connection Trainer. Alicia serves on two Patient Family
Advisory Councils at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). From
2013-2015 she served as a Trustee of the Brea Olinda Unified School
District. Alicia lives in Brea with her husband, two sons and their
adorable dog, Oliver.
