Keynote:
The Power of All Talent…Having the Courage to Impact Change
presented by Dr. Johné Battle
Based on his extensive research in the areas of GRIT, Self-Control, and Mindset, Dr. Battle discusses how developing transformational leaders and talent plays a critical role in driving business results through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion. While during the past decade DE&I has been seen as a priority in the business sector, the pandemic era revealed a lack of authenticity connected to the work that was done. Considerable data collected during the pandemic illustrates that racialized communities and women have been disproportionately impacted in the workplace because of the pandemic-related health and economic crisis.
The time to pursue leadership transformation is now. It is more important than ever for the C-Suite and human resource leaders to support and develop leadership and talent that espouse openness, persistence, and determination in fostering an inclusive workplace with the intention of building talent factories that lead to the accomplishment of strategic objectives and bottom-line results.
Learning Objectives include:
1. Explore the growth mindset that is needed to expand the capacity of individuals, teams and the organization to drive business results.
2. Recognize how reactions to differences can impact our treatment of people and their ability to contribute their best work.
3. Commit to the grit needed for one or two things you will do to model inclusive leadership skills and communicate key messaging about the importance of inclusion.
