Leave of Absences
presented by Lonnie Giamela, Esq.
California employers are now overwhelmed with a litany of leave laws that are provided for under local, state and federal law. Traditional leave laws relating to medical leave to newer laws relating to COVID-19 have caused leave management issues because of the partial overlap of federal and state laws, the increase of remote workers and the interplay between the various laws.
The presentation will focus on the following:
- Providing an overview of the current status of various federal and state laws
- Guiding attendees on the development of appropriate policies and procedures for leave management.
- Identifying risk analysis metrics for difficult leave management scenarios.
