How often have you wondered whether the reason
an employee is not at work might qualify for protections under the Family and
Medical Leave Act (FMLA)? How do you determine if it does? These and other
questions will be answered regarding all the reasons an employee may take leave
under the FMLA. Attendees may also submit their questions.
This presentation will cover what employers need to know about qualifying FMLA
reasons such as the following:
- What a serious health condition is and what it isn’t,
- Which individuals are considered family members,
- New children via birth, adoption, and foster placement, and
- Military family reasons.
